Mason is a rural area…
so, basically, I’m a country bumpkin!

(I love stones!)
The Mackinac Bridge
The Mighty Mac connects Michigan’s lower and upper peninsulas. It’s the longest suspension bridge in the Western Hemisphere and the 5th longest in the world. The total length is 26,372 feet, and at mid-span it’s about 200 feet above water. To accommodate wind, temperature and weight, the bridge can sway up to 35 feet east or west.
I’m not going to think about that the next time I drive over!
The Upper Peninsula: The U.P.
Pasties are a local staple.
The Northern shores of Lake Michigan
Michigan’s largest spring. It is 200’ in diameter, 42′ deep and delivers 16,000 gallons of crystal clear water per minute.

Exploring the coast of Lake Superior
Saving little brother, lol!
Lake Superior rocks!
The Grand Hotel on the island has the worlds longest porch.
Cars are not allowed on the island.
Oh my, the houses!
This is my dream house!
Lake Shore Boulevard is an enjoyable 8 miles bike ride around the coast of the island.
I hope you enjoyed this collection of photos I took on a few wonderful Michigan visits.
I LOVE MICHIGAN!
